Here’s the interesting thing that occurred to me as I read this article.
We as a society are now at a place where good Samaritan stories are going viral and making national news. Don’t get me wrong. What Joey Prusak did was great and certainly the right thing to do.
Why should we be surprised about that? Shouldn’t we expect such behavior out of most people?
Of course there will always be ill intended folks in the world; there is nothing we can do about that. Maybe if our expectations out of others were a bit higher then others would behavior would be “better”.
With that said… I certainly understand why we don’t; we do have to protect ourselves from being hurt and therefore we keep our expectations low.
Seems to be a bit of catch 22.
Give the article a read and feel good that there are still Joey Prusak’s out there in the world!
